End of a Season

Our 2016 Spring Season came to a close on July 4th 2016. I am so proud of all of the boys and coaches.  They all gave their most on the field, at all times down to the last play.  It was a joy to watch the growth and camaraderie between all of them. 

The boys went 4-3-1 in the Under Armour World Series.  

Final Season Stats = 30-20-1   Championships = 5

These boys are ALL HEART!

Omaha....Somewhere in middle America

I really cant say enough great things about this trip. The boys played excellent and they showed great sportsmanship. Additionally, the coaches all deserve kudos for a job well done.

Slumpbuster 2016

Game 1 VS Chanhassen Storm from Minnesota

Win 6-3

William hit a single to left and popped out to the pitcher.

Game 2 VS  Brookfield Brewers from Wisconsin

Win 20-2

William hit a single down the 3rd base line and a double to left.

Game 3 VS Colorado Flash from Colorado

Win 12-1

William struck out and hit a double down the 3rd base line.

Game 4 VS Kingwood Battle Red From Nebraska

Win 8-2

William hit a single down the 3rd base line and struck out.

Game 5 VS Brookfield Brewers from Wisconsin

Win 11-7

William Grounded out to short, hit a single to left and walked.

Game 6 VS Lincoln Dodgers from Nebraska

Lost 5-4   

William hit a single down the 3rd base line, grounded out to 3rd and lined out to second.

The week before Omaha we went to California to congratulate our nieces on their high school graduations and we were able to visit with family and friends.  Jeff's parents, Bill and Cindy joined us in Omaha and in addition to watching William play we got out an about and enjoyed Omaha.

Not much to say this weekend.  William caught and played 3rd.  He had a single, a pop-out, ground out and reached base on a dropped 3rd strike.

Hope the boys can change up the mojo before we head to Omaha next week.

Shout out to Justin who hit his first ever homer which turned out to be a GRAND-SLAM!

Say Hey Kid 05/14-15/2016

What a great job our boys did this weekend, this is their 5th championship this spring season. 

We had quite the bomb squad with us on Sunday!  Four boys hit 7 HOME RUNS.

Lost 12-7
William went 0-2 with a ground out to short and a strike out.

Win 4-2
William went 1-2 with a fly out to Left and a nice shot down the 3rd base line to left.

Sunday
Game 3 VS Vipers
Win 3-2
William went 0-1 with a strike out and a walk.

Game 4 VS South Texas Chargers
Win 11-2
William went 0-2 with 2 strike outs.

Game 5 VS Young Gloves
Win 3-2
William went 0-2 with a ground out to 3rd and a caught line drive to short.

William went 0-1 with a strike out and a walk.

Game 1 VS Hill Country
Lost 7-4  A 4th inning 4 run rally was not enough to get us over the hill.
William played 3rd and Right Field, batted 0-1  with a strike out and a walk, scored 1 run.


Game 2 VS Eagle Pass Broncos
Win 5-3
William played 3rd and pitched 2 innings, batted 1-2 with a single to center, a ground out to the pitcher and scored 1 run.

Sunday
Game 1 VS Mudcats
Lost 4-3
We were tied when time expired and had to finish with a Texas Tie Breaker; bases loaded and 1 out.
William played catcher and went 1-2 with a single over 3 bases head and a ground out to 3rd.

April Fools 04/02-03/2016

These boys have won their 4th tournament in a row.

Shout outs to Vaughn who hit a nice homer over the center field wall and to Bryan who hit two home runs today (hope you get those shoes, Bryan).

William Pitched 3 great innings with 3 strikeouts, 1 hit, no walks and no runs. Struck out twice.

Win 8-0
William Pitched 3 inning with 3 strikeouts no runs, no walk and no hits and 1 hit batter.  Walked once and struck out once.

Game 4 VS TASBA Grays
Win 8-4
William played catcher.   Hit 1 squeeze and 2 singles


Game 5 VS Hill Country
Win 5-2
William played catcher.  Walked 3 times.


Game 6 VS Tejanos
Win 5-3
William played catcher.  Walked, struck out and ground out to 3rd.

Easter Classic 03/26/2016

The Saturday only tournament turned into a Friday and Saturday for the ETrain.

Friday
Game 1 VS Hill Country
Win 4-2
William went 0-3 with 2 strike outs and a ground out to second.  Played 3rd

Game 2 VS ATX Sox
Win 13-2
William went 1 for 2 with a single, a walk and a strike out.  Played catcher

Boys placed 2nd seed with these 2 wins taking us back to the field Saturday night at 8:15.

WIN 5-1
William went 1 for 3 with a nice double down the 3rd base line, a strike out and a ground out to 2nd.  Played catcher.

The Road to Omaha Starts Now

Its time for the annual E-Train Hit-A-Thon!

Game 1 Vs. Hill Country Combat
Lost 0-8
Several K's, Poor Base Running, and bad attitudes (especially William) gave the Hill Country Combat team all they needed to shut us out.  William pitched, struck out and kept the bench worm.  Rough Game

Game 2 Vs. Boerne Braves
Lost 1-6
More K's and several Fly Outs sent us home 0-2 for the day.  William played catcher and went 0-2 with a ground to the pitcher and a pop up to short.


Sunday

Game 3 Vs. Hill Country Combat
Win 8-6
At the bottom of the 4th we were down 6-3 but in the 5th we came together scoring 5 runs and sent Hill Country Combat home for the weekend.  William Caught and went 1-3 with a ground out to second, a strikeout, and a ground rule double down the right field foul line.

Game 4 Vs. Texas Bombers
Win 9-4
The Bombers pitching was lacking this game.  Multiple walks and several base hits was too much for the Bombers to keep up with.  Weekly catching lessons are really showing up on the field,  although its not my favorite position for William he really is doing well back there. William went 1-3 with a ground rule double over the center field wall and 2 ground outs to short stop.

Game 1 Vs. Los Lions
Lost 4-1
These boys were asleep on the field and went down looking.
William went 0 for 3 with a strikeout, walk and a fly out to left.  Played left field.

Game 2 Vs. Mustangs
Win 13-3
Good things happen when you swing!  Boys finally woke up and found their bats.
William went 3 for 3 with 3 hits to left. Pitched and played 3rd.


SUNDAY FUNDAY

Game 3 Vs. Xtream Regulators
Win 13-4
William went 2 for 3 with two singles and a hard hit line drive right to the shortstop.

CHAMPIONSHIP Vs. Los Lions
WIN 8-7
With an 8:49PM start time, blues that were generous with time and lots of pictures we got home at midnight.  It was worth the rough Monday.
William went 2 for 3 with a strike out, single to second and a sweet squeeze play to bring in the tying run.


All the boys brought something to the field this weekend.  I'm a very proud baseball mom of many!
